I find Ocean Mist Retreat?
On the beautiful West Coast of Vancouver Island, British
Columbia, Canada in the town of Port Renfrew. Follow
road signs 107 km West from Victoria on Highway 14.

Ocean Mist
Retreat is located by the Port Renfrew General Store.
Once in Port Renfrew drive by the tourist info centre
and keep going for approx. 4 minutes and Ocean Mist
Retreat is on the left-hand side of the road... it's
the one with the HUGE DECK!!
Fuel available
at Port Renfrew Marina. We advise you to fuel up and
stock up on groceries in Sooke.

Who are the Owners of
Ocean Mist Retreat?
Pete, Diana, Pat and Micheal
Machek
Pete is a former professional fishing guide
who has owned and operated some of the most luxurious floating fishing lodges
and land based fishing lodges in British Columbia. Pete also became a pro-staff
member of the Fish'n Canada Show and completed approximately 14 television shows
for the series. Diana is a mom that stays home with her children. This is what
she considers to be the most important job in the world and the most rewarding.
Before having children, Diana was an Office & Catering Manager for
a local hotel. She brings the hotel experience and experience of working at
two of Pete's lodges with her to Ocean Mist Retreat.
Pat and Mike are Pete and Diana's two children.

Pat is an avid
outdoorsman who is now 16. Pat has caught more
fish than most adults. Pat has looooved fishing
from the time he was featured in the Fish'n Canada
News at age 2. Pat's goal is to become a world
famous fishing guide and a Conservation Officer.
He is on his way!
We have all watched Pat grow into one of the best
guides in Port Renfrew!! Pat is now offering charters

Micheal
iis totally different
from Pat. Micheal enjoys the outdoors but not
nearly as much as his brother. Micheal loves to
mushroom pick but his real passion is magic. Yes
that's right! Micheal is a 11year old professional
magician. Magical Micheal placed 2nd in a competition
known as Battle of the Wizards in summer of 2005.
He competed against 9 other professional adult
magicians! Micheal was hired to perform at The
Silver Bridge for Chinese New Years and Wowed
the 200+ Adult aduience members....He and his
assistant, Jordan Kerney earned a well deserved
STANDING OVATION!!!
